Green Works Oxi Stain Remover is 99% naturally derived. It contains sodium percarbonate which is an oxygen-based bleaching agent that releases hydrogen peroxide as it dissolves in water. It also contains sodium carbonate which is what my Grandma use to call washing soda. I love that this is free and clear. It doesn’t have any chlorine, detergent, fragrance or dye at all which is great for people with allergies and sensitive skin like me. It’s safe for all types of washing machines including my HE washer/dryer combo.
That reminds me… football practice starts up again next week! I really hate fighting stains on his sports uniforms. Nobody wants to be the mom of the kid whose uniforms have stained knees all year long. I really don’t like using a lot of bleach because it’s not good for the environment so when I heard about Clorox Green Works Oxi Stain Remover, I wanted to learn more.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- with three kids and a dog, plus a husband who does a lot of DIY projects, my laundry gets dirty. I was reminded yet again of how much I love Green Works Oxi Stain Remover just this weekend, when I was pulling the new “seasons” of clothes out for the kids, many of which are handmedowns, and discovered upon opening the bins that half had stains not noticed by me before they were packed into their bins. I am sure they weren’t noticed by the folks who were generous enough to pass along handmedowns. They also had that odor from being packed away- almost musty, but not fully. Frustrated, I did what I normally do with laundry issues- grabbed the clothes with the stains, headed to the basement and tossed them into the wash with a scoop of the Oxi Stain Remover. A good soak cycle and then a wash through with my normal detergent and out to the clothesline they all went to sun out whatever remnants of stains there might be…
I was very happy to see that Clorox Green Works Oxi Stain Remover really worked to remove the grass stains from my son’s pants. I love that it can be used on both whites and on colors because it saves me huge amounts of time not having to separate every single thing I wash. It didn’t bother anyone’s skin and I don’t worry about using it since it’s 99% natural. You can add a scoop of it to every wash load or use a half scoop of it to pre-treat stains. You can even use it to treat carpet stains or with stains on counter tops. This is a great all purpose stain treatment to have on hand.
