  • Whink Rust Stain Remover For All Colorfast Fabrics

    • I want to compliment you on the Whink Rust Stain remover. I had a crocheted doily that had rust spots when the pins rusted. When I sprayed Whink on the spots, they disappeared in less than 10 seconds.

Back then, my go-to cure was to clean the glass with Whink Rust Stain Remover, a household cleaning product found on supermarket shelves. Although designed to remove rust stains from colorfast fabrics and white porcelain sinks and tubs, Whink was also incredibly effective at dissolving these baked-on deposits. But using Whink requires care because if it splatters full-strength on metal or painted surfaces, its acid component could wreak havoc. And so, I must now provide a formal disclaimer: When using an industrial-strength cleaner such as Whink, you must always read the directions before opening the bottle. Be safe and read them twice. I have been using Whink for 20 years and still read the directions. My rules are to wear rubber gloves and use plenty of water. The best way to maintain the flow is to remove the hose nozzle and let the water run free.
